Museum Ludwig

Museum Ludwig, situated in Cologne, Germany, houses an accumulation of present day workmanship. It incorporates works from Pop Art, Abstract and Surrealism, and has one of the biggest Picasso accumulations in Europe. It holds numerous works by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.

The museum developed in 1976 as an autonomous foundation from the Wallraf-Richartz Museum. That year the chocolate head honcho Peter Ludwig consented to bless 350 present day fine arts—at that point esteemed at $45 million and consequently the City of Cologne conceded to fabricate a devoted "Museum Ludwig" for works made after the year 1900. The ongoing structure, which was planned by modelers Peter Busmann and Godfrid Haberer opened in 1986 close to the Cologne Cathedral. The new building initially wound up home to both the Wallraf Richartz Museum just as Museum Ludwig. In 1994, it was chosen to isolate the two foundations and to put the structure on Bischofsgartenstrasse at the sole transfer of Museum Ludwig. In 1999 Steve Keene painted in the museum.
